Celebrations at SH are always filled with fun and fervour. It is a chance for students to explore their talents and calibre beyond academic pursuits. The celebrations present an opportunity for students and faculty to interact with each other beyond the world of textbooks and to learn and hone several life skills that will help them lead a fulfilling life after stepping out of Sacred Heart College and into the world.
College Day
The College Day marks the official winding up of the academic year at SH College. It is a chance to reflect on all major events and activities of the year and to set goals for the upcoming year. It also an occasion to recognise and award both students and faculty for their exemplary work and dedication in the given academic year. It also includes cultural programs that showcase the talent and calibre of students, faculty and staff.
Heartifest
The Heartifest is one of the most important events of the year for the students and faculty at Sacred Heart College. It is a celebration of the wonderful talent pool at SH College, before its main stake-holders – students, parents and management of the college. The fest is an opportunity for friends and well-wishers of the college to come and be entertained, renew their bond with each other and the institution.Provide a day for celebration of the talent pool of S.H. It is usually held in January in the lake-view grounds. The fest also provides an opportunity to the alumni to reconnect with its alma mater with gatherings held in every department, followed by a common gathering where notable alumni of Sacred Heart College are honoured.
Hrdyasargasangamam
This event is a platform for identifying in-house talent at SH and covers the entire gamut of literary and cultural events. It provides an avenue for healthy competition among students and provides for inter-departmental interaction. The event is also an opportunity to identify the pool of talent that will go on to represent Sacred Heart College, Thevara in various inter collegiate events.
Sargapatham
A literary pentathlon initiated in the year 1995, and henceforth held uninterruptedly, under the leadership of the student advisor, the speakers’ forum, writers’ forum and quiz club, Sargapatham is an inter-collegiate event, and a flag ship programme of S.H.
