Description/Characteristics :  

Alectryonia is a genus of extinct brachiopods, marine animals with bivalve shells, that lived during the Paleozoic era.
Shell structure: Had two shells (valves) that were hinged together. The shells were composed of calcium carbonate.
Lophophore: A tentacle-like organ that helps in filter-feeding.
Habitat: Inhabiting various environments ranging from shallow to deep seas.
