East Campus
The East Campus is the newly established front facing wing of Sacred Heart College. This magnificent campus is the backbone of the academic disciplines the college has to offer. Apart from its conventional focus on knowledge, the culture of this campus endeavours to cultivate in its students, important life skills such as self-discipline, critical thinking and inquisitiveness as well as social and emotional intelligence which are all attributes of a holistic education.
The East Campus stands out in the diversity of its academic programmes as well as in its approach to academics, with its special emphasis on research and knowledge creation. Moreover, it seeks to promote a multicultural learning environment in keeping with the values enshrined in our constitution and the rich cultural heritage of our country.
The campus functions more or less independently of the main campus of Sacred Heart College as envisioned by the state government in its policy on introducing self-financing programmes in aided colleges, having rules and regulations specific for the campus.
All the programmes offered on the campus lay special emphasis on skill development in their respective disciplines, in light of its significance for nation building.
SH East Campus started functioning in the academic year 2020-21 with eight graduate programs and one postgraduate program. The academic requirements of the East Campus include earning the required number of credits for the respective course as well as the completion of four extra credits earned through add-on courses, in addition to completing the mandatory 40-hour service learning module.
