Handball coaching at Sacred Heart College

If you’re looking to boost your physical activity this summer, check out the handball summer coaching camp at Sacred Heart College in Thevara, Kochi. Kicking off on Wednesday, the camp promises top-notch coaching from experts, including head coach Antony C M, Anju Sabu, Hassi Suhail, and Sarath V S. This year, the camp’s motto focuses on helping children steer clear of the dangers of drug abuse. “Since the use of drugs has been on the rise, especially among children, engaging them in sports is more crucial than ever to prevent them from falling into harmful habits,” says Antony.

Although handball hasn’t gained widespread recognition in the district, Antony highlights that the Sacred Heart College Handball Academy has produced some of the best players in Kerala, who have gone on to represent the state in the World Championships. “The highlight of the camp is that this academy has been the training ground for those who participated in the World University Championship Handball 2023-2024, held in Antequera, Spain,” Antony adds.

The camp offers state-of-the-art facilities, including both outdoor and indoor courts, and provides individual and advanced-level coaching. Camp timings are from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
