The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Armed Forces in India and is headquartered at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. NCC is a Tri-Service Organization, comprising of the Army, Navy and Air Wing engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The students enrolled are called as ‘cadets’ and they are given basic training in small arms and parades. The officers (ANO’s) and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. In fact, those cadets interested can join the Armed Forces and their school or college training equips them better to face the recruitment processes into the Armed Forces very easily compared to others who are not exposed to any such previous trainings.
Our College has the very unique distinction of being one of the very few colleges in the State of Kerala to have all three wings of the NCC. Army Wing was started way back in 1960’s and their main activity is weapon training and firing. The Navy Wing of our college was started in the year 1980’s and swimming and sailing is the main activities. Air Wing was started in the year 2011 and flying is the main activity. Join NCC, become a part of the Armed Forces.
