Re’store Drives Sustainability with Thrift Initiative

Thursday, April 03, 2025

Sacred Heart College’s thrift store “Re’store” has taken a major step in promoting sustainability by collecting nearly 300 dresses from across the campus and successfully organizing six thrift sales. The initiative has encouraged reuse and recycling while fostering an eco-conscious culture within the college community.

In a further effort to extend the impact, the unsold dresses have been donated to the Cloth Bank in Thripunithura, ensuring they reach a wider audience at affordable prices. This initiative not only reduces waste but also aligns with Re’store’s commitment to responsible consumption and environmental sustainability.

By giving pre-loved clothing a new lease on life, Re’store continues to make a meaningful contribution to the environment and the community—one outfit at a time.
