About

The Student Wellness Centre of this college exists to help students confront the diverse challenges and problems in their lives. The College offers students a supportive and non-judgemental environment where they may choose to share their personal issues with the assurance of complete confidentiality.The counsellor also identifies and supports students who need psychiatric interventions by providing support systems and referral services. Sacred Heart College is committed to provide free and unbiased counselling to all students. The College, guided by the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is engaged in a relentless pursuit to mould a Heartian community where physical, mental and social well-being are identified as the key life-goals.

Objectives

1. To achieve all-round mental and social well-being as an expression of Heartian values
2. To help the students explore and attain their potential and skills to the fullest extent.
3. To help the students accept life-changing situations and to cope with stress and anxiety.
4. To provide non-judgemental, unconditional and genuine support to every student without the bias of race, religion or economic status.
5. To conduct personal as well as group interventions to maintain the well-being of the students.

Teacher
You can talk to your class teacher about any concern. They will help you to find out the right support.

All students have a personal mentor. They are here to help with any academics as well as your personal development. They will also refer you to professional support when you need it.
Counsellor
You can talk to your counsellor about your personal conflicts or problems. The counsellor helps you to discover yourself and find you resources to cope with your problems.
